An Impala portrait

I usually post a lot of pictures of the Big Five and of carnivores. This week I will focus of the herbivores which are great photographic subjects, often ignored on game drives.

Have a good week!

First Baby!

Following an early rutting season this little Impala was the first new baby of this summer seen on one of my game drives on Thanda Safari!

Annoying Birds

Sometimes the little birds are just too much!

This Impala shook off the Red-billed Oxpeckers which where looking for ticks in its pelt.

TAKE-OFF | IN-FLIGHT | LANDING

An ‘airborne’ Impala female in sprinting mode at Pakamisa! As with most herd-prey-species good photo opportunities occur once the flight instinct kicks in. If one of them starts running for whatever reason the others will follow.
