THEY DO NOT LIKE CATS

This herd of Cape Buffalo went into alert mode when they heard Lions roaring nearby. These formidable bovines hate cats and will chase and kill them if they get a chance.

But on this occasion the two protagonists of the drama never met.

RHINO SOUNDS

Watch this short video if you want to hear what it sounds like when a young White Rhino bull gets to close to the dominant male and when his mum gives the old guy a warning not to come any closer. Not great visuals but interesting audio!

THE DAILY POST – SPIRAL-HORNED ANTELOPE

Of all the spiral-horned antelopes the Male Kudu are my favorite. These incredible creatures can jump as high as 3.5m (~12′) under stress!

Have a good week 😊

THE DAILY POST

I love baby Rhinos with an attitude. This little boy gave me some good snorts. But when I switched on the vehicle he did a high-speed retreat to mum 😊

THE DAILY POST – TOO MUCH ENERGY

This Thanda Safari Zebra calf got rid of far too much stored energy by jumping and running around. The video is not of great quality by it is a joy to watch. Have a good week!

THE DAILY POST – AMAZING CREATURES

I love these amazing creatures. Leopards can disappear more effective than Houdini ever could, they can carry more than their own body weight up a tree, and they can see seven times better than humans in the dark!

THE DAILY POST – THICK BILL

I took this picture of a Thick-billed Weaver on its nest during my recent boat cruise of Lake St.Lucia.

Besides Hippos which are the main feature of the these cruises we saw Nile Crocodiles, a Giant Heron, a Malachite Kingfisher, a Pied Kingfisher, a Striated Heron, White-faced Whistling Ducks, multiple Fish Eagles, and many other Weaver species.

It was a successful morning!
