PS: This is my favorite South African flower. It is from a Sickle Bush (Dichrostachys cinerea, known also Bell Mimosa, Chinese Lantern Tree or Kalahari Christmas Tree), which blooms around this time of the year. A true Christmas flower!

The Mimosa trees around here look very African. They have a delicate feathery red and white bloom. I love them!
