Hardy!
But this Thanda Lioness nibbled on grass for quite a while. That sort of behavior can mostly be observed after heavy meals, apparently to help with a full or upset stomach.
The Thanda guests were quite impressed to see this method of Lion “self medicating” 🙂

Yummy, yummy! Smiles… Yeah all cats seem to enjoy a wee bit of grass every now and then,
Every cat I have ever owned has done this, quite often resulting in vomiting, and I have seen my dogs do it as well. I have also noticed they are quite particular with the grasses they choose to “medicate” with.
The lions all look good. Do any have TB?
Cats and dogs will choose the right type blade. It just depends on whats going on with them . Generally they will choose a wide blade grass if they have an upset tummy and need to vomit.and choose the thinner blade grass as a natural laxative. Animals ARE smarter than we think.
