THE EVENING POST – YAWN

This evening this Thanda Safari Cheetah male gave a good yawn before he got up to move off. Interesting fact: Large cats in general announce their intention to walk away by yawing a few times.

Have a good week!

THE DAILY POST – SHY

All the small antelopes are usually very shy. Yesterday morning this Common Duiker only stayed long enough for one single picture 😊

PS: This week’s Wednesday bird was a Giant Kingfisher.

THE DAILY POST – TAKE OFF

This Red-billed Oxpecker was using the boss of a Cape Buffalo bull as a take-off platform 😊

Have a good week!

THE EVENING POST – EXTRA SECURITY

As I drove past Thanda Safari’s Villa iZulu this afternoon I saw a Giraffe bull staring at the gate. He did this for a good reason as one of our Lionesses had taken position in front the entrance, for a bit of extra bush security! 😊

PS: I will be taking a bit of time off and therefore only post once per day. Normal service will be restored next Friday 😊

THE MORNING POST – SUNSET

I

The sun + a waterhole + some clouds + an iPhone = a record of last night’s beautiful sunset 😊

THE EVENING POST – A DRINK WITH MUM

This young Cape Buffalo calf had a drink with mum just as the sun was setting. For some reason – not obvious to me – these two were not with a herd but moved around by themselves. It is possible that they might have caught up with their family after they left the waterhole.

Have a good evening!
